Dollie Shields, a beloved figure to many, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2025, at the remarkable age of 99. Born on July 30, 1925, Dollie embraced life with a spirit that was nothing short of inspiring. Described by all who knew her as loving, caring, and happy, Dollie’s impact on her family and friends was immeasurable and profound.

Throughout her life, Dollie exemplified the qualities of kindness and warmth, touchstones that defined her relationships and daily interactions. She brought joy to those around her, always ready with a smile and a comforting word. Her generous heart and nurturing nature made her a cherished presence in the lives of many.

In honor of Dollie’s life and legacy, a viewing will be held on July 8, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas, located at 4155 S R. L. Thornton Fwy, Dallas, TX 75224. Those wishing to pay their respects are warmly welcomed to join family and friends during this time.

A burial service will follow on July 14, 2025, starting at 9:15 AM at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, located at 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX 75211. This ceremony will provide a final opportunity for loved ones to come together and celebrate the life of a remarkable woman who brought light and love to all she encountered.

Dollie Shields will be deeply missed, but her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
