OBIT: Christine Mills

Christine Mills, a radiant spirit and devoted matriarch, was born on April 1, 1951, in Oenaville, Texas. Her journey ended on June 19, 2025, in Midlothian, Texas, leaving behind a legacy characterized by love, faith, and unwavering kindness.

An alumna of Dunbar High School in Fort Worth, Texas, Christine displayed an early passion for learning that would flourish throughout her life. She served her country as an Administrative Specialist in the United States Air Force, a role through which she brought both diligence and grace to her service. This experience shaped her into the spunky, sweet, and spicy woman she became, known for her humor and sharp intellect.

Christine’s personality was as vibrant as the colors of a summer sunset — a blend of spiritual devotion and joyous laughter. A true prayer warrior and worshipper, she affected lives with her fervent faith, constantly uplifting those around her. Her love knew no bounds, particularly when it came to her family, whom she regarded as her proudest accomplishment.

Christine was a beacon of support, tirelessly helping others and infusing her life with music and movement. She found joy in dancing and singing gospel, her voice a harmonious tribute to her deep-seated spirituality. Traveling was among her cherished pursuits, each journey a new adventure that she embraced with open arms and an open heart.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Larry Mills, and her two sons, Bruce Ellis and Byron Mills, who shares his life with Shawnice. The light of her life will continue to shine brightly through her six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, who are forever impacted by her boundless love and encouragement. She also leaves behind her siblings: Sharon Roberts, Mary Ruth Davis, Mildred Haynes, Terry Ellis, Millard Ellis, Jr., Frank White, and Bryan Ellis, all of whom carry the torch of her cherished memories.

Christine Mills will be deeply missed, not only for her lively spirit but for the immeasurable impact she had on the hearts of all who knew her. In our memories, she will forever dance between the notes of her favorite gospel melodies, a true testament to a life well-lived and loved.
