OBIT: JONATHAN LEE GRANT – BROOKS

Jonathan Lee Grant-Brooks, born on July 3, 1984, in Houston, Texas, passed away on March 14, 2025, in Dallas, Texas. He dedicated two decades of his life to the Arlington Police Department, serving with honor and commitment as a Lieutenant. His extensive career in law enforcement was marked by professionalism and an unwavering sense of duty.

He pursued higher education with a fervent passion for criminal justice, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts from Texas A&M Commerce, followed by a Master’s degree in Criminology from the University of Texas at Arlington. His academic achievements underscore his dedication to understanding the complexities of crime and justice.

Jonathan was known for his funny nature and a vibrant sense of humor that often brightened the days of those around him. He was not just a devoted officer; he was also a beloved father, son, and brother, cherished by his family and friends.

He leaves behind a loving family consisting of his mother, Virgie Grant-Brooks; father, Rev. Ronnie J.
