DALLAS – TREC Community Investors (TREC CI), the philanthropic arm of The Real Estate Council (TREC), announces the appointment of Dominique Pryor-Anderson as Senior Director of Community Investment. In her new role, Pryor-Anderson will draw on over 20 years of experience in education, public relations and real estate, where she has specialized in affordable housing, real estate development, capital strategy and community and strategic partnership development. She will focus on further strengthening TREC CI’s commitment to equitable development and neighborhood revitalization throughout the North Texas Region.
“Dallas is at a critical time in its opportunity for growth and equitable development for all residents, and Dominique’s deep expertise in real estate development, affordable housing and community development will guide TREC Community Investors in continuing its 30-year mission of helping transform underserved neighborhoods into vibrant communities well into the future,” said Jamee Jolly, president and CEO of TREC. “Her passion for empowering community-focused development in diverse and underserved communities makes her the ideal leader to work alongside our community partners and local residents.”
Before joining TREC CI, Pryor-Anderson most recently served as principal at Populace Community Strategy, a Tennessee-based consulting firm specializing in creative capital strategy, affordable housing and community engagement for real estate developers, municipalities, and nonprofit organizations. Previously, she was executive director at the Tennessee Affordable Housing Coalition and director of strategic partnerships and engagement at The Housing Fund, where she helped establish Nashville’s first Community Land Trust (CLT) and deployed capital throughout the historic North Nashville community.
In addition, Pryor-Anderson has held roles as director of multicultural and crisis public relations at VIDA Communications Group, as a realtor for the Memphis Area Association of Realtors and led diverse programming, social innovation, and social entrepreneurship work at Vanderbilt University’s Wond’ry Innovation Center.

Pryor-Anderson’s community involvement includes serving as a board member of the Nashville Social Enterprise Alliance and as an active member of the Urban Land Institute’s Nashville District Council for its Pathways to Diversity Initiative, speaker and leadership for its regional and national Women’s Leadership Initiative and Housing Action Council, and as co-chair of its NEXT initiative. She is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, the National Hispanic Chamber and the National Urban League. Pryor-Anderson earned her master’s degree in secondary Spanish education from Christian Brothers University and dual bachelor’s degrees in Spanish from the University of Tennessee at Martin and journalism and public relations from the University of Memphis. She isa native- fluency Spanish speaker.
