Operation HOPE Inc. is currently hosting the 2024 HOPE Global Forums (HGF) Annual Meeting in Atlanta, marking a significant milestone as it celebrates 10 years of impactful work in financial literacy and economic empowerment. This year’s theme, “FUTURE,” emphasizes the importance of financial education and innovation in uplifting communities and addressing global challenges.

Event details and significance

The forums take place from Dec. 9-11 at the Signia Hotel in Atlanta, hosted by Operation HOPE founder John Hope Bryant, alongside co-chairs Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens and U.S. Ambassador Andrew Young. This annual meeting is the largest gathering in the country dedicated to financial literacy, bringing together over 5,200 delegates from more than 40 countries.

According to reports from Saporta Report, the event aims to strengthen the connection between financial education and community upliftment, providing innovative solutions to pressing issues faced globally.

Empowering voices and visionaries

John Hope Bryant expressed that this year’s theme, “The FUTURE,” serves as a call to action for leaders to ensure that prosperity reaches every corner of society.

The agenda for the forums is robust, featuring high-profile speakers from various sectors, including business, philanthropy, government and civil society. Notable speakers include USA Today’s White House correspondent Francesca Chambers, media contributor Van Jones and President and CEO of BET Media Group, Scott M. Mills. Their participation underscores the importance of dialogue around economic issues and the future of financial literacy.

Community engagement and collaboration

Mayor Andre Dickens highlighted the collaborative spirit of Atlanta, stating in a press release, “Atlanta is a group project, and through our collaboration with HOPE Global Forums, we are inviting the world to join the conversation.” The forums will address critical topics such as homeownership, entrepreneurship, youth engagement and financial education, offering innovative ideas to ensure a bright future for all.

This initiative is designed to empower individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary for financial success.

The 2024 HOPE Global Forums promise to be a transformative event, celebrating a decade of progress while looking forward to the future of financial empowerment. With a diverse lineup of speakers and a focus on community engagement, the forums will continue to bridge the economic divide and inspire change.
