The phrase “you play like a girl” has come a long way from being an insult—these days, it’s a flex!

Between endorsements and prize money, these ladies are getting to the bag. Not only are they competing amongst the highest of ranks in their respective fields, but they are moving the needle towards closing the pay gap between men and women athletes and increasing visibility and interest in women’s sports.

The average American woman earns 83% of what an average American man earns, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics
