Dannie Nelson Bailey, born on September 29, 1961, in Dallas, Texas, passed away on October 3, 2024, in his hometown at 63, he left a legacy of kindness and dedication to those he served.

Dannie had a fulfilling career as a custodian for the school district, where he was known for his work ethic and outgoing personality which brightened the days of students and staff alike. He found joy in family gatherings, where he cherished creating lasting memories with his loved ones. His commitment to his job and the community will not be forgotten. He made a positive impact on those around him.

He received his education from Dallas ISD, a foundation that helped him cultivate the skills that he later brought to his professional and personal life.

Dannie is mourned by those who had the privilege of knowing him, and his memory will live on in the hearts of family and friends. He will be remembered for the warmth he brought into every space he occupied.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the viewing on October 10, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas, located at 4155 South R. L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, TX 75224. A funeral service will be held the following day, October 11, 2024, at 1:00 PM, also at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas, concluding at 2:00 PM.

Dannie Nelson Bailey’s spirit and cheerful presence will be dearly missed, and his life will continue to inspire those he leaves behind.
