Election 2024: What are the biggest issues for Black Houstonians?

Depending on what media source you favor or which politicians you listen to the most, several issues are mentioned daily as being the most important to the U.S. electorate. Some of those include the economy, immigration, police reform, and protecting democracy.

The Defender wanted to know what Black Houstonians said were the issues most important to them going into this consequential Nov. 5 presidential election. Here’s what those we spoke with had to say:
