Charlie G. Maxie, a devoted family man, retired forklift driver, and beloved member of the community passed away peacefully on August 26, 2024, just days short of his 85th birthday. Born on September 5, 1939, Charlie was a man whose deep connection to those he loved and his unwavering dedication to hard work painted the tapestry of his life.

Charlie spent his professional years operating a forklift at Dal-Tile, a job that suited his diligent and earnest spirit perfectly. His colleagues will remember him not only for his work ethic but also for his warm smile and the infectious sense of humor that brightened even the heaviest of workdays. In the hustle and bustle of life, Charlie carved out joy and laughter, becoming a cherished friend to many.

Beyond his career, Charlie took great pride in the life he built with his beloved wife and the legacy he nurtured through his children and grandchildren. His proudest accomplishment was undeniably his family, whose lives he enriched with his gentle and welcoming spirit. Whether he was cooking breakfast before or after church, grilling for friends and family under a welcoming sky, or sitting quiet with a fishing rod in hand at the lake, he filled each moment with love and laughter, creating memories that will linger long after his departure.

Charlie’s impact came not only through the laughter he shared but also through his faith as a respected deacon, guiding others with his wisdom and compassion. He was a steadfast pillar in both his family and community, revered for his generosity and understanding.

Friends and loved ones are invited to pay their respects during a viewing at Golden Gate Funeral Home in Dallas on September 6, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM. A Celebration of Life will follow at Mt Rose Church in Dallas on September 7, 2024, at 11:00 AM, where everyone whose life Charlie touched can gather to remember and honor the beautiful journey he shared with us all.

As we bid farewell to Charlie G. Maxie, may we celebrate a life that was rich in love, laughter, and family—a life that leaves an indelible mark on our hearts.
