What a powerful way to conclude the Labor Day Weekend-long Riverfront Jazz Festival at The Black Academy of Arts and Letters (TBAAL) in Dallas, Texas. Earlier performances included Stanley Jordan, Cassandra Wilson, Take 6, Sheila E. and Patrice Rushen, with Ruben Studdard and the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and Tower of Power rounding out the night. From Studdard’s rendition of Luther Vandross classics to the reminiscent flair of attendees recalling, dancing and singing along to Tower of Power hits, many had a funky, good time. TBAAL Founder, President and Event Producer Curtis King delivered yet another successful, music filled holiday bearing the gifts of local and legendary talent.
