With heavy hearts, we mourn the passing of Albert D Gilder, known affectionately as Albert D., who departed from this world on August 13, 2024, in Cedar Hill. He was born on April 12, 1939, in Kennard, TX.

Albert led a fulfilling life as a Truck Driver, traversing the roads with dedication and skill. He was recognized for his exceptional talent behind the wheel, navigating highways with precision and care throughout his esteemed career.

Those who knew Albert remember him as a man of few words, yet kindness spoke volumes. His big heart touched the lives of many, and his subtle humor never failed to bring a smile to the faces of those around him. He will be fondly remembered for his quiet nature, kind gestures, and his ability to find humor in everyday moments.

Despite his professional accomplishments, Albert’s true passion lay in the simple joy of fishing. Spending time by the water, waiting for the perfect catch, brought him peace and contentment in the midst of life’s hustle and bustle.

One of Albert’s proudest accomplishments was his culinary expertise. He was renowned for his skill in the kitchen, especially when it came to cooking beans and greens. His delicious creations brought together friends and family, creating lasting memories around the dining table.

Albert will be dearly missed by his relatives and friends. He leaves behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and laughter that will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Services to commemorate Albert’s life will be held at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas, located at 4155 South R. L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, TX 75224. A Prayer Service will take place on August 19, 2024, starting at 6:00 PM, followed by a Viewing on August 19, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
