Thelma Ann Sowells, a beloved member of the community in Dallas, Texas, breathed her last on August 1, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on May 31, 1954, in the vibrant city that she called home throughout her life.

Thelma will be fondly remembered for her unwavering faith and devotion to God. Her love for attending church and praising the Lord was evident to all who knew her. She found immense joy in gatherings with family and friends, especially during barbeques where she could share laughs and create cherished memories.

One of Thelma’s greatest passions was dancing, with a spirit that lit up any room she entered. Her enthusiasm for singing was infectious, spreading happiness wherever she went. Thelma had a zest for life and a gift for making those around her feel truly alive.

In times of hardship, Thelma’s resilient spirit shone through, inspiring those close to her with her strength and positivity. She lived each day to the fullest, embracing every moment with a sense of adventure and fun.

Thelma Ann Sowells leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter that will be treasured by her surviving family members and friends. While we mourn her passing, we take comfort in knowing that she has left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
