QUIT PLAYIN: Trump’s Kryptonite? – Strong Black Women!

By Vincent L. Hall

Kryptonite weakens Superman and causes severe muscular weakness, usually to the point of collapse and excruciating pain. Prolonged exposure could prove fatal with long-term exposure. Wikipedia

You’ve probably been trying to figure it out. Why does Donald J. Trump have such apparent issues with Black women? His recent attempts to deride presidential candidate Kamala Harris based on questions of race and ethnicity are just the latest evidence of his problem.

If Trump suffers the proverbial “thorn in his side,” it manifests itself as a sassy Black woman with college degrees in one hand and the fate of his future in the other.

Run the tape back to a few months after Trump took office. Politico posted a story on October 17, 2017:

“But what stands out to me recently are his ongoing attacks on Black women and other women of color. The president isn’t one to hold his fire for anyone, but he seems in particular to enjoy berating, belittling, and bemoaning strong, independent Black women. Worse, he dismisses them entirely—reinforcing America’s worst stereotypes and encouraging the most bigoted— yes, deplorable—among us not to reform but to join in.

“The coup de grace occurred last week after Trump called Myeshia Johnson, the widow of a slain Army Sergeant La David Johnson, to offer his condolences. His comments were not well received by the widow or a longtime family friend, Rep. Frederica Wilson. “After Wilson and Johnson, both African American women went public with their version of the phone call, Trump went on the attack. So far, he’s called Wilson ‘wacky’ three times. And most heartbreakingly, he’s publicly implied that Johnson, a grieving war widow, was lying.

There is only one African American woman in the top levels of the White House: Reality TV star Omarosa Manigault, who serves as a political aide. The number of Black women in Trump’s Cabinet and sub-Cabinet and among his judicial nominees? Zero.”

Once Omarosa could no longer tow or detangle his line of bullsh!t, Trump took to Twitter and served a few lashes of his own. This wannabee slave master posted one of the most demeaning tweets we had seen to date.

You may have forgotten it, but some of us filed it away for fear that his history of “Misogynoir” (a toxic mixture of Black female racism and misogyny) would be lost or whitewashed!

“When you give a crazed, crying lowlife a break and give her a job at the White House, I guess it just didn’t work out,” Trump wrote. “Good work by General Kelly for quickly firing that dog!”

The Independent reiterated Trump’s vitriol against the sisterhood in an October 16, 2020, article.

The Kryptonite was coming at him from all directions.

“As the election enters its final two weeks, a new ad highlights the president’s lengthy record of insulting Black women, whether it’s calling vice presidential nominee Kamala Harris a “monster” after her debate or bashing California congresswoman Maxine Waters as having a “low IQ.”

“Donald Trump has a long history of racism,” a narrator says. “He especially hates Black women. That’s not hyperbole,” she adds, as the video highlights the president’s repeated insults towards Black women, especially those in the media and politics.”

Kryptonite! Don’t forget to add the disrespect and angst Trump doused on some of our best Black media personalities. In fact, in one week, Trump batted three-for-three and struck down CNN personalities Abby Phillip and April Ryan as well as MSN-BC’s top Black political reporter, Yamiche Alcindor.

The only crime they committed was asking questions that Fox News wouldn’t. But having a Black woman question Trump’s White privilege and wacky presidency is the most insufferable form of Kryptonite!

So that’s the backstory that should help you understand how crazed and unhinged Trump is acting today. He has Kamala Harris in his forefront, but remember he has three bad “Sistas” ready to make him ac- countable for his criminal acts in the background.

New York Attorney General Letitia James, Atlanta’s District Attorney Fani Willis, and U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan are serving enough Kryptonite to make Superman glow green.

And Trump ain’t Superman! So don’t be surprised at how vile and vociferous Donald Trump gets between now and November. He has been exposed to enough Kryptonite to make any man delirious. The side effects of this latest dose keeps him agitated and antsy.
