Alliance for a Brighter Community Foundation Hosts Annual Fundraiser “A Night in Emerald City”

Frisco, TX – The Alliance for a Brighter Community (ABC) Foundation proudly announces its largest annual fundraising event, “A Night in Emerald City.” The event will be held on September 14, 2024, at the Hyatt Regency Frisco in Frisco, Texas, beginning at 8:00 PM until 1:00 AM. This highly anticipated evening aims to raise essential funds to support community programs and scholarships.

The ABC Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization, is dedicated to enhancing the educational development of underprivileged and at-risk students, providing financial assistance to students pursuing further education, and sponsoring programs that benefit the North Texas communities of Denton, Frisco, Little Elm, Prosper, and The Colony. The foundation works in collaboration with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, Omega Alpha Omega Chapter, to execute these impactful programs and activities.

Since its inception in 2016, ABC Foundation has given away over $90,000 in scholarships and has raised an additional $150,000 toward community aid and various program initiatives. This year, the foundation aims to raise $40,000 through several fundraising efforts, including “A Night in Emerald City.” This annual signature event has gained recognition as one of the premier fundraising affairs in the Greater North Dallas area.

“We are excited to invite the community to join us for ‘A Night in Emerald City,’ an evening of celebration and community spirit,” said Saneetra Woolridge, Executive Director of ABC Foundation. “Our foundation’s reach and influence have grown tremendously, thanks to the unwavering support of our community and partners. We look forward to making this year’s event our most successful yet, so we can continue to empower and uplift the North Texas communities we serve.”

Community members can support the event by attending, sponsoring, or donating. Their participation and generosity will directly contribute to the foundation’s ongoing efforts to make a lasting impact on the lives of students and families in need.
