In 2020, Devyn Walker embarked on a journey to establish Transcend Wellness: a safe space offering BIPOC individuals a community for therapeutic and wellness services. Her motivation was prompted by a personal tragedy; discovering her father’s suicide. She received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from Arkansas State University, as well as a Master of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of North Texas. She also gained experience as a Disability Program Service Coordinator, Therapist, Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor, Qualified Mental Health Professional, Yoga Instructor and Crisis Counselor. Devyn said she is on a mission to create an amazing wellness community specifically designed for BIPOC individuals.
