“AIR”
In 1957, the U.S. Air Force loaned the U.S. Army a C-119 transport plane to disperse a ton of a bio-chemical agent comprised of zinc, cadmium and sulfide over the United States and parts of Canada. Check Google for Operation LAC (Large Area Coverage) and Operation DEW, which tested the aerosol disbursement range over South Carolina and Georgia. You don’t believe your government (and others) would “test” or deploy deadly particulates into the air to determine range of coverage and efficacy? They will, and they have. There was a time, not so long ago, when we took clean air for granted. Now we wear masks to protect ourselves from a deadly virus. Soon we’ll pay for wearable canisters of clean breathable air. Anything to impact market manipulation.
“WATER”
I remember when my only notions of drinking water were from a water fountain or the kitchen sink. If we’d had to buy drinking water by the gallon, or by the case, I imagine there may have been waterless days at the Davis home from time to time. We survived on a fairly tight household budget. Today we’ll gladly pay $1.29 for a gallon of Poland Springs spring water, $3.99 for alkaline water at the market, and $5-$7 will get you Evian or Smart Water—oh the irony. The other option is to buy a table-top water filter like Britta or Zero Water or have an expensive household unit installed. Has anyone heard any discussions on the Flint, Michigan water supplies? I don’t recall hearing anything about it during the recent Presidential debates. Anything to impact market manipulation.
“CURES”
In a matter of months, scientists have researched, discovered and distributed not one, but two vaccines for the deadly Coronavirus, responsible for the COVID-19 pandemic. By all accounts, this is an astonishing feat of scientific brilliance! However, are we any closer to a cure for cancer or will we continue to walk, research and raise funds? Do we continue the campaign of clinical trials, research and testing? Does AIDS remain a threat to the population? Are we still cautioned against the use of public restrooms? We haven’t had a single Corona Walk-a-thon, COVID-19 TV campaign or Race for a Cure, yet here we are watching… as politicians and TV news personalities take the first shots. I suppose, seeing them injected instills confidence in me. Anything to impact market manipulation.
“RANDOM”
One of the most difficult aspects of COVID-19, the Coronavirus, is the seemingly random manner in which it chooses its victims. To suggest it is anything but random, would be to suggest that those stricken with the deadly virus were somehow at fault or perhaps took fewer precautions and less care than the rest of us—who have not yet been stricken. Scientists research what appears to be random incidents of infection, in search of patterns and causation. Serious gamblers play the odds, they don’t believe in random. Random means the flip of a coin, except in this case “heads I win, tails, I die.” It’s all math, and I won’t believe that someone has not calculated the outcome of this crisis. Math is predictability, not random. Random is chaos, and even Chaos has a Theory. Random, arbitrary, chance, accidental, all suggest that in spite of our hyper-vigilance and all of the PPP safeguards at our disposal, there remains for each of us, the ever-present threat of infection and death. They say follow the money…I say, 2020 will go down as one of the most sweeping transfers of wealth in U.S. and perhaps arguably, in World History. Second only to all-out war, disease is a wildly profitable industry. Next in line is Cyber-terrorism. It’s not about Trump and it’s not random. Anything to impact market manipulation
“KEYS”
Soon it will be 30 years from the time the 1994 crime bills for which President-elect Joe Biden and former President Bill Clinton have apologized, were enacted, yet no one seems to have a plan to release the non-violent, first-time offenders slowly wasting away in prison. I do have a plan. It may appear at first to be overly simplistic but give it a listen. Someone get hold of the keys and release them. Give them bus fare, a modest stipend, and let them go. I call it the MRI (Mass Release Initiative). Comprehensive registry and re-entry programs can be established, but in the meantime, get the keys and let them go home. Speaking of keys, have someone from the U.S. Marshalls office swing by 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. and pick up the keys to the White House before something crazier goes down.
“PHYLLIS”
Tragic talent! Beautiful, intelligent, statuesque, a wonderful musician with amazing vocal abilities. Does anyone remember what it was like to see her standing at the microphone…just singing? She was fully clothed, no dancers, no DJ, perhaps a whistle or two, from her, not the audience…just singing. It was magical. And then she was gone!
“TEDDY”
Some people were born to be stars. Before meeting the Village People, Phyllis Hyman, and Teddy Pendergrass, I wasn’t really sure what it meant to be a star. I know now. I’ve met many others, and they all share the same quality. It’s the “it” factor, the “je ne sais quoi.” Some people just have it…most do not. I could look through the studio glass and watch Teddy sitting quietly at the mic, waiting for the engineer to roll the next take and knew without a doubt…there’s a star.
That’s what’s on my mind!
