Vickie Mitchell is one of the newest members of the African American Education Archives and History Program Educators’ Hall of Fame. She has served as a classroom teacher, assistant principal, elementary, middle school and high school principal; and at the Area Superintendent level. A recipient of several awards including Teacher of the Year and the PTA Life Membership Award, she is active with several community organizations – Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.; The Links Incorporated; The Black Academy of Arts and Letters; and she serves on the Hospitality Committee at Concord Baptist Church where she is a member.
