Regina O. Jones is a native of Abilene, TX, and began her professional career as an educator in the DISD as an Instrumental Music Instructor and retired in 2012. She was South Oak Cliff High School’s first female principal 2006-2009. She has been DISD Principal of the Year; Professional Educator of the Year – South Dallas Business and Professional Women’s Organization; DISD Lead Principal; and Teacher of the Year Hulcy Middle School A member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., she enjoys spending time with her family in her leisure time and she is an African American Education Archives and History Program Hall of Famer.
