“Texas Democrats celebrate the contributions made by countless women in Texas and throughout this country. While we’ve made so much progress as a country, this month is also a reminder of how much is on the line for Texas women this November. With the threat of another Donald Trump and Ted Cruz term looming, women’s freedoms, families, and health care are at stake.
“Where President Biden is lowering costs and expanding access to health care, Trump wants to raise health care costs and rip away coverage from Texas women. While President Biden is spurring more jobs and economic opportunities for women, Trump is pushing to give more tax handouts to the ultra-wealthy and big corporations at the expense of working Texas. As President Biden fights to protect reproductive rights, Donald Trump wants a nationwide abortion ban while bragging about dismantling Roe v. Wade and ripping away reproductive freedoms across the country. The contrast couldn’t be clearer, and Texans know that the only way to keep building on progress is sending President Biden and Vice President Harris to the White House once again.”
President Biden and Vice President Harris are delivering for women in Texas. Another Trump term would be catastrophic:
- President Biden is focused on lowering costs for families – including prescription drug and grocery prices – Donald Trump wants to raise health care costs and rip away health coverage from tens of millions of Americans.
- Trump brags about overturning Roe, has called for punishing women who get abortions, and wants to ban abortion nationwide. He’s the reason why MAGA Republicans in states across the country have been able to take away reproductive freedoms – including in Alabama where a recent Alabama Supreme Court ruling is preventing families from receiving IVF fertility treatments.
- Under Biden, we have seen the creation of more jobs and economic opportunities for women. Trump is running to expand his tax handouts to big corporations and the super-rich at working families’ expense.
- In stark contrast, Trump stands with the gun lobby, pushing for more guns in our streets and classrooms, while Biden is making our schools and communities safer from gun violence.
