Apply for scholarships

DALLAS — The 2024 Superintendent’s Scholarship application is now open. This $3,000 scholarship is an excellent opportunity for graduating students to further their education and achieve their academic goals. Interested seniors must apply by Thursday, March 7.

Fam Jam will provide free resources and giveaways this weekend

Dallas ISD families are welcome to attend this weekend’s Fam Jam at 9 a.m., tomorrow, Feb. 24, at David W. Carter High School. Students will have the opportunity to receive immunizations at no cost, engage in hands-on activities, explore resources, win prizes, and more. Families will also be provided with insights into neighborhood schools and other school choice programs in the Carter High School feeder pattern.

Empowering young minds with Dallas ISD’s first biomedical campus

The Biomedical Preparatory at UT Southwestern is Dallas ISD’s first biomedical campus. First envisioned by Dr. Charles Ginsburg, the school frequently collaborates with UT Southwestern Medical Center professionals. The goal is to provide unique experiences for students and expose them to the wonders of science and discovery. Currently serving pre-K through second grade, the school will continue expanding grade levels up until eighth grade.
