Since launching in May, Center Table has provided more than 3,500 meals to families, distribution of 1,100 turkeys, 300 prepared meals during Thanksgiving week, and food and household items to nearly 200 families impacted by the recent tornado in Arlington.
Thursday, December 17, from 9 am-noon at the Mark Cuban Heroes Basketball Center (1800 Bonnie View Rd, Dallas, TX 75216). Presented by the Mark Cuban Foundation in partnership with The Dirk Nowitzki Foundation, The Heroes Foundation and North Texas Food Bank, the drive-up event will offer free food boxes for 400 families with two distribution lines to alleviate wait times. The event is open to people who reside in the surrounding neighborhoods of the Mark Cuban Heroes Basketball Center including Cedar Crest, South Oak Cliff, southern Dallas County and Joppa.

The December food boxes are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis to 400 families. Volunteers and staff from the Mark Cuban Heroes Basketball Center will wear masks and gloves and will practice social distancing.
“This year has been trying for so many hard-working families in Dallas, and this is our chance to do something that helps our neighbors during the holiday season,” said Trina Terrell-Andrews, CEO of the Mark Cuban Heroes Basketball Center. “We’re so appreciative of our amazing partners who’ve helped us provide thousands of meals to thousands of families during the last several months.”
The Mark Cuban Heroes Basketball Center is a multipurpose facility for neighborhood youth and families providing sports and leadership programs.
