Larenza McMillan

Larenza McMillan was born to Larenza McMillan Sr. and Odessa McMillan in Canton, Texas on June 18, 1938. He was the oldest of 4 children, 1 preceded in him in death.

He brought joy and warmth to his family, creating cherished memories that would be held close to their hearts forever. He was raised in a Christian home and as family they worshiped at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church, where he was baptized. Later in life he worshiped at True Lee Baptist Church.

Larenza McMillan pursued his education at Lincoln High School. He joined the United States Navy right after high school and served 9 years.

He raised 7 beautiful children, Debora McMillan, Schenise McMillan, Jacqueline Phillips, LaKeshia McMillan, Fredric McMillan, Christy Hall, and Samuel McMillan.

Larenza McMillan, Jr. departed this life on November 10, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Jimmy McMillan, and 3 grandchildren, Christopher Fason, Staphany Collier, and Akeivyon McMillan.

He leaves to cherish his memories: two sisters, Dessalena Jones and Mary Janice Gerald; wife, Marshialene McMillan; children, Debora McMillan, Schenise McMillan, Jacqueline Phillips, LaKeshia McMillan, Fredric McMillan, Christy Hall, and Samuel McMillan. He also leaves the legacy of 22 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
