Dale Keith Murry passed away peacefully on October 15, 2023 in Dallas, TX at the age of 59.

Dale was born on June 23, 1964 in Dallas, TX to Ruby and Eugene Murry. He attended David W. Carter High school but later graduated from L.G. Pinkston High School in 1983. Dale went on to attend Prairie View A&M University where he obtained a bachelor’s degree. He met his wife, Bessie Dantzler, in the early nineties. Dale was a passionate public servant devoted to protecting his loved ones and community which led to his robust career in the field of law enforcement. He began working for Dallas County Sherrif’s Department and later took a promotional opportunity at Dawson State Jail. Following his employment at Dawson, Dale moved on to the Trinity Railway Express, followed by Walmart and lastly, the City of Dallas.

Dale was a passionate music enthusiast and an unmatched pit master according to him and his family. He was a very witty jokester who loved shopping and was skilled at golfing. He was an active and devout member of God’s World Church. He was a loving family member that loved to entertain. Following each of his gatherings, we all looked forward to him letting us know, “And we’ll do the same thing tomorrow”!

Dale was preceded in death by his parents Ruby and Eugene Murry; daughter, Shannon Foster; and oldest brother, Barney “Donny” Johnson. He is survived by his wife, Bessie Dantzler of Dallas, TX; son Dario Murry of Dallas, TX; grand-daughter, Diamonique Murry of Dallas, TX; siblings Reba Murry, Cynthia Johnson, Darwin Murry and Darron Murry all of Dallas, TX and Michael Malone (Minnie) of Allen, TX. Dale leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends.

He will forever be remembered as a kind, loving spouse, father, brother, uncle, and friend.
