Final Push to Meet Census’s October 15 Deadline

Over 99.9 percent of housing units have been accounted for in the 2020 Census, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. Self-response and field data collection operations for the 2020 Census will end on October 15, 2020.

“It’s very important that we work to get Dallas County to a 100% Census response rate, not 99%,” said Sophia Johnson, President of Alpha Business Images. “A 1% increase in our count is estimated to add $39 million in federal funding or $390 million dollars over the next ten years.

The Census Team has launched an aggressive final push to meet Thursday’s deadline. “We are actively block walking, buying ads on social media, making phone calls, texting and energizing our partners to let everyone know October 15th is the last day to complete the Census. The Supreme Court has issued a decision and the U.S. Secretary of Commerce has issued the final date. October 15th is the deadline,” said Johnson.
