Dallas Mavericks CEO Cynt Marshall and other Dallas VIPs will assist in the court unveiling via zoom

The Mavs Foundation will unveil a brand-new basketball court at the Dallas County Juvenile Department Youth Village to better the lives of the young men that reside in the facility. The Dallas County Youth Village helps develop positive social skills through programming and mentorship, and the Mavericks hope the new court can be used as a tool for success during their journey. This court dedication marks the Mavs Foundation’s 27th unveiling in the past 24 years and will be followed by a net cutting in the new gym, inaugural free throws, a Mavs Academy virtual basketball clinic for the youth within the Village and question and answer session with Mavs and Dallas VIPs for media in attendance via Zoom.
“We want to show these young men of the Dallas County Youth Village that we care for them and are rooting for their success in life,” said Mavs CEO Cynt Marshall. “At the Mavs we will continue to empower our youth, encourage them to dream big and work collaboratively to build stronger communities.”
Not only will this renovated court give the Youth Village residents a safe space to be active, many activities will be hosted within the refurbished gym’s walls including enrichment programs and other events that are vital to the physical and mental success of the Village’s young men.
VIPs that will assist in the court dedication, along with Mavs Emcee Chris Arnold, include Mavs CEO Cynt Marshall, President of Mavs Foundation Katie Edwards, 305th District Court Chair for Dallas County Juvenile Board Cheryl Shannon, Chief of Dallas County Juvenile Department Darryl Beatty, Dallas County Juvenile Department’s Vernetta Kinnard and Dallas County Commissioner John Wiley Price.
