Blair Gives Hope with Annual Quest for Success Awards

The Dallas Black Chamber of Commerce is having its Annual Quest for Success Awards October 6-7 and once again, they will salute entrepreneurs and nonprofit organizations.

In spite of the pandemic, Harrison Blair, President of the Chamber of Commerce, said he thought it was critical to continue with the event. He sees the program as a way to continue to inspire and motivate owners to keep going.

“The point of Quest for Success is to elevate Black businesses,” Blair said, adding that the event debuted in 1985 to highlight African Americans who have made an impact. “One reason we think it will give them some hope because they get an opportunity to hear from business owners, and nonprofit owners who are pivoting and really surviving this pandemic.”

There will also be a fireside chat with Cynt Marshall, who is the CEO of the Dallas Mavericks. There will also be panel discussions on how to rebuild the economy.

The award ceremony will be on October 7 at 1 pm. Tickets are on sale, starting at $36.
