Fall is right around the corner and it’s all about the foliage, pumpkin spice lattes, and of course, the pumpkins. In fact, The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden will have a pumpkin village for all to see beginning September 19 until November 1.
The Arboretum has been putting this event on for 15 years and organizers say it has become a “must stop” for many families.
“It’s really kind of a family tradition for a lot of people to come out here and experience,” said Marcela Castillo, manager of public events.
It takes more than 90,000 pumpkins in order to put together four 20-foot-tall decorated pumpkin houses and unique displays.
“Our pumpkin village transforms every year and there’s a different theme…you’re going to see something different,” Castillo said.
Pumpkins will be for sale and there will be events throughout the week.
Attendees will also be able to listen to live music on the weekends or participate in cooking demonstrations on Mondays.
