“Labor Day is an opportunity to reflect on the successes of America’s working men and women. It is a time to recognize them for their contributions toward strengthening the prosperity and well-being of our country.
“As the U.S. continues its battle with the coronavirus, it is imperative that we not only recognize frontline workers, but pay tribute to them for their decision to proudly and dutifully keep our Nation moving.
“Working Texans are the foundation of this state’s economy. As a staunch supporter of labor rights, and the most senior Texan on the U.S. House Committee on Transportation & Infrastructure, I strongly believe in investing in our infrastructure to create good-paying jobs, strengthen our economy, and build prosperity for all Americans.
