Avery M. Steward

Avery Michelle Steward passed away on 7th of June 2023 in her home on Mansfield, Tx. She was born on October 16,1968 in Fort Worth, Tx to Jessie and JoAnn (Massey) Steward.

Avery grew up in Mansfield, Tx. She is a graduate of Mansfield High School. She attended Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Tx. She began to work for Texas Department of Human Services as a social worker until 2004.

Avery served in a number of ministries over the years at Bethlehem Baptist Church. Avery had a passion and a natural eye for art and decorating.

Avery was preceded in death by her father Jessie Steward and her grandparents Hester Massey, Sergeon Massey, Ida Mae Stewart and Rosevelt Steward.

Avery is survived by her sons Carrington Steward of Mansfield, Tx and Channing Steward of Houston, Tx. Her grandson Isiah Steward of Houston, Tx. Her siblings Cedric Steward of Mansfield, Tx Jessica Steward “Daisy” of Mansfield, Tx Korey Steward of Fort Worth, Tx Lee Dawson Jr(Tammi) of Austin Tx Darrell Dawson (Curtricia) of Austin Tx Rozon Dawson (Kunstance) of Austin, Tx Bridgett Dawson of Austin, Tx Marsha Dawson of Austin, Tx and Brandie Dawson of Austin, Tx. Her parents JoAnn and Lee Dawson of Lockhart. Numerous Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
