P.A.I.D. Program Lets Garland Neighbors Help Each Other with Utility Bills

By Ashley Moss
Staff Writer

The City of Garland has a new program that lets neighbors “pay it forward” by making contributions to help other economically challenged families pay for their City of Garland utility service. Known as the Provide Aid in Dollars (P.A.I.D.) Program, it is a voluntary assistance program managed and distributed by the Salvation Army. Local residents are urged to contact the Utility Customer Service line at 972-205-2671 or via email at CustServ@GarlandTX.gov to discuss their situation and how they can get help.

The City of Garland is also working with other community partners to facilitate access to a variety of recovery programs for individuals, families and businesses. Residents should check https://www.garlandtx.gov/ regularly for updates.
