Free WiFi Installed at Four Library Parking Lots

By Ashley Moss
Staff Writer

In an effort to increase WiFi access in communities with low connectivity, the City of Dallas Offices of Resiliency and Information and Technology Services has installed external wireless access points at four Dallas Public Library locations. This feature will give the public access to connect to the library’s free WiFi from the parking lot between 7 am and 9 pm every day. AT&T provided the upgraded broadband capacity to help make this modernization possible. Customers are encouraged to remain in their cars when using WiFi in the library parking lots as buildings remain closed to the public at this time, and library staff is unavailable for in-person assistance.
