Abide Women’s Health Services Provides Free Community Resources for Mothers

Abide Women’s Health Services is offering free support to moms during the COVID-19 crisis. Women can take advantage of a variety of services, including porch deliveries of items like diapers, infant formula and feminine hygiene products, birth planning sessions and virtual breastfeeding education and peer support classes. 

Located on 2612 MLK Jr. Blvd, the women’s health organization, which exists to improve birth outcomes in communities with the lowest quality of care, shifted to a new focus in 2019 and now places an emphasis on reducing infant and maternal mortality and reducing pre-term birth and low-birth-weight babies in addition to increasing the percentage of mothers breastfeeding. and the number of midwives and birth workers of color in the South Dallas community.
