Back-to-School Vaccinations Available for Dallas County

For now, families will have a choice between the in-person or virtual option when the 2020-2021 school year starts for Dallas County, but for those who choose in-person learning, back-to-school vaccinations are more important than ever. In Texas, children are required to have the following vaccinations before entering kindergarten: Diphtheria/Tetanus/Pertussis, Polio, Measles/Mumps/Rubella (MMR), Hepatitis B, Varicella, and Hepatitis A.

Families in Dallas County can get up to date on their vaccinations in addition to physicals, mental health services and other wellness exams by visiting one of 12 school-based clinics located throughout Dallas County. Multiple insurance plans are accepted, and assistance is also available for those who need to apply for medical coverage.Find more information about the clinics, click here.
