Mr. Wesley Drake (JUNE 12, 1936 –MARCH 26, 2023)

Wesley Drake was born to Leslie and Valerie Drake on June 12, 1936 in Plano, Texas. He attended school in the Plano Independent School District – Douglass High School. He married the love of his life, Mable Joyce Drake (01/28/38-09/03/10) on March 7, 1959. They had 50 years and 6 months of love and dedication to each other. Wesley had a strong work ethic; having worked 30 years driving 18-wheelers. He received numerous awards and certificates for driver excellence and was qualified to instruct. He later worked 25 years for Dixie Ply Company. Wesley never met a stranger – every person seemed to instantly become drawn to his friendly, kind and prayerful demeanor. He was always ready to tell you a joke to brighten your day. Wesley professed his faith in Christ at an early age. He loved singing in church with his father and grandfather. He was a devoted and long-standing member of Bon-Air Baptist church in Dallas, Texas

At age 86, Wesley entered into his eternal life on March 26, 2023. He was preceded in death by wife, Mable Joyce; sisters: Frances Drake, Joanne Walker (JP); brothers: Gene Drake (Jacqueline), Bobby Drake (Carol); son: Eddie Whitfield (Calamity).

Left to cherish his memory: Sons: Wesley Eugene Harris (Rose), Stanley Dunbar (Linda; sister: Patsy Drake; brothers: Robert Dale Drake (Nona), Ronnie Drake (Mattie), and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
