Ms. Betty Jean Kendrix was born August 5, 1945, to Reverend Garland C. Williams and Hazel Brown in Ouachita County, Arkansas. She departed this life on Sunday March 26, 2023, at Medical City of Arlington in Arlington, TX.
Ms. Betty Jean Kendrix was a member of Jordan Missionary Baptist Church, which she faithfully attended as much as her health would permit.
Ms. Betty Jean Kendrix attended school in Stephens, Arkansas and graduated from Carver High School in 1963. After High School, she left home and moved to Los Angeles, California where she attended college and achieved her Certification in Nursing Assisting. She was always a warm loving soul in every part of her being. She had a passion for caring for people, from taking on the charge of Home Health Care to having a sensitive nature for the elderly working for Lake Park Nursing Home. Before her retirement in 2005, she was employed at Parkland Memorial Hospital as a Patient Care Tech giving care to the mothers of the neo natal babies.
Ms. Betty Jean Kendrix was married to Fred A. Kendrix. To this union, two children were born.
Ms. Betty Jean Kendrix was later involved with Wardene Cannon and within this relationship, one child was born.
Ms. Betty Jean Kendrix was welcomed into her eternal home of Glory by her father and mother Reverend Garland C. Williams and Hazel Brown; nine brothers, Frank Williams, Carl David Williams, Eddie Williams, Thomas Williams, Clarence Williams, Cleo Williams, Adolph Williams, Phillip Williams, and John Williams and two sisters Bennie Jean Williams, and Dollie Williams; son, Reginald Kendrix, Sr.; granddaughter, Anesha Green.
Betty leaves to cherish her memories two daughters, Roslyn Caldwell; Rhonda Conway (Hal); five grandchildren, Nettie Kendrix Lewis (Daniel), Timothy Richardson (Jasmine), Ashley Parks, Jeremiah Richardson, and Reginald Kendrix, Jr. (Mistree); twelve great grandchildren, Mekhi Ross, Jamiyah Harris, Brenden Ross, Mikayla Donato, Madysen Ross, Jarrell Donato, Daniel Lewis, Jr., Blake Williams, Alixzandrya Lewis, Teagan Richardson, Serenity Kendrix and Sage Kendrix; three brothers, Garland Williams (Stephanie), Harry Williams (Alice), Dwayne Williams (Ivy); one sister, Carolyn Owens (James) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends. Ms. Betty will be greatly missed by all.
