Edward Danforth (November 14, 1936 – March 31, 2023)

Edward Earl Danforth was born in Bosqueville, Texas to Elonzoand Maudie Danforth on November 14, 1936. He attended Bosqueville Elementary School and graduated from A. J. Moore High School in Waco, Texas. He professed his faith in Christ at an early age at Greater Bosqueville Baptist Church. Edward (Buddy) lived a faithful and productive life.

Edward (Buddy) always worked. He often had multiple jobs. He worked for Firestone/Bridgestone with employment in both Waco and Dallas. He retired from Bridgestone after 32 years of employment. After retiring from Bridgestone, Edward spent 18 years working at Home Depot. Edward (Buddy) was greatly loved by all his co-workers. On his last day at Home Depot some of his co-workers were crying because Mr. Buddy was leaving.

Buddy was an avid sports fan. He played football and basketball in high school, attended the sporting events of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and of course he watched sports on television.

Edward (Buddy) was united in marriage to Irene Burren onSeptember 6, 1957. To this union seven wonderful children were born.

He was preceded in death by his parents Elonzo Danforth and Maudie Danforth Hackworth, his brothers Henry Lee Danforth and Billy Joe Danforth and his son Reginald Keith Danforth. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of sixty- six years, Irene Burren Danforth, six children, Cherri Wilson, James Danforth, Brenda Sims, Rhonda Taulton (Lester), Hope Prentice (Roderick) and Sonya Davis (Leon), twelve grand-children, twenty great-grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren.A loving sister, Betty Danforth of Dallas, Texas and a cousin Henry Lewis Davis of Houston, Texas who will also embrace and honor his memory. There is a host of other family members and friends attached to him by love that will cherish his memory.
