Reggie Crout (July 20, 1985 – March 3, 2023)

He will wipe away every tear from their eyes and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away. And He who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.”

Reggie Crout

On July 20, 1985, Reggie Romero Crout was born to Reginald Crout and Carol Mason Crout in Cleveland, Mississippi. He accepted Christ as his personal savior at a young age. “Lil Reg” as he was affectionately called, loved to fish with his Dad, watch WWE wrestling, and play football. He went on to play football for Apollo Junior High and North Garland High School. He had an unwavering love for the Dallas Cowboys and did not shy away from letting any and all persons know, that he represented “Dem Boyz!!!” He was the VERY proud father of his first born son, Braelen Boss Crout then, Jaelen Javon Crout. Reggie adored his sons. They brought so much joy to his life and Reggie made sure that “Dada’s boys” knew just how much he loved them; be it attending their baseball or football games, taking them on fishing trips, or simply spending time together playing PlayStation Games. Reggie was the kindest, quietest, “gentle giant” standing at 6 feet 5 inches tall, who would lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He shared an unconditional love for his Mother, Carol and would selflessly do anything she asked of him. On the other hand, he showed his love for his “Little Big Sister” Monique by squeezing her with bear hugs and wet kisses on the cheek. Reggie attended North Garland High School where he graduated in the Class of 2004.

Our beloved father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend called his final play on March 3, 2023. He was preceded in death by his father, Reginald Crout, Grandparents, James and Mozella Crout, Randolph Nelson and Thelma Washington, and his Aunt Brenda Daughrity.

Reggie leaves a legacy of love left behind to: his sons Braelen and Jaelen Crout and his wife Ashley Crout, all of Plano, TX. His mother Carol Mason Crout of Garland, TX; His step-mother Etherine Mitchell Crout of Mound Bayou, MS; His sisters Preacious Kince (Patrick) of Southhaven, MS; Calandra Monique Crout of Houston, TX; seven uncles, five aunts, nieces, one nephew, and a host of cousins, friends, and a special friend, Stephanie.
