Jackie Denise Taylor was born in Dallas, Texas, to the union of Prescott Martin and Willie Mae Martin who preceded her in death.

She departed this life on February 13, 2023. She received her elementary and high school education in the Dallas Independent School District, graduating from L.G. Pinkston High School. She attended El Centro Community College in Dallas, Texas. She was a Teacher’s Assistant at Sequoyah Elementary School in Dallas, Texas where she loved working with children.

She married George Taylor in 2009. She was a member of God House of Worship under the leadership of Pastor Lee Rose, Sr. Her passion was in helping others, giving back and enjoying life and smiling every day.

Jackie was preceded in death by her father, Prescott Martin Sr., mother, Willie Mae Martin, three brothers, Nathanial Robert Mitchell, Ronald Martin and Prescott Martin, Jr., (M) grandmother, Virgie Mae Mitchell, (M) grandfather, Willie Martin (P) grandmother, Cleopatra Martin (P) grandfather, Cleophus Martin.

She leaves to cherish her memory, husband, George Taylor of Hot Springs, Arkansas; one daughter, Zakiya Perry of Dallas, TX; two sons, LaMarcus Martin (LaTrisha) of Austin, TX and MaQuesta Martin of Dallas, TX, one brother, Ronald Martin (Chantel), grandchildren, great-grand-child, nieces, great-nieces, great-nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
