“A Strange Loop” received a nomination for the Grammy Award

Native Texan, (Mesquite) John Michael Lyles, stars in the Tony Award broadway show, “A Strange Loop ” John started singing and playing guitar in a Southern Baptist Church! He honed his skills at Booker T Washington High School for the Performing & Visual Arts in Dallas. He then studied at Pace University, during which time he learned a lot about composition. He has many accolades on Broadway and on TV The cast recording of “Strange Loop” received a nomination for the Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album for the 2023 Grammy Awards The show’s Grammy nomination was preceded by a Tony in 2020 for Best Musical of the Year. A Strange Loop is a musical with book, music, and lyrics by Michael R. Jackson, and winner of the 2020 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.
