Shirley Ann Johnson was born on October 11, 1953, to parents Turner Lee Berry and Johnie Bell Morgan. Johnie B. Morgan later married Arthur Jackson, who was instrumental in Shirley’s upbringing, and he loved her dearly. Shirley became a Faith Temple Pentecostal Church member in 2012, where the late Pastor James Donald presided. Shirley worked in the food industry serving others which she enjoyed doing. She also worked as a manager at several McDonald’s locations. Shirley’s favorite pastime was shopping; everyone knew her as a fashionista with a keen eye for bargain findings. Shirley also loved family gatherings and looked forward to everyone connecting. Shirley attended Lincoln High School in Dallas, Texas. Shirley met Charles Johnson Sr. and married on April 7, 1972. Shirley had three children, Shannon Berry, Charles Johnson Jr., and Markita Johnson. She entered eternal rest Monday, January 23, 2023, surrounded by family and friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Charles Edward Johnson Jr., Father Turner Berry, Stepfather Arthur Jackson, Mother Johnie Jackson, Brothers James Jackson Jr. and Rodney Jackson. Shirley leaves to cherish her memories of two daughters, Shannon Berry and Markita Johnson of Dallas, Texas. Three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, three sisters, Betty Jackson, Lorrie Jackson-Bursey, Tammy Jackson, one brother David Jackson, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
