WNBA Star Brittney Griner has been freed in a prisoner-swap and is now in U.S. custody. Russia freed the Phoenix Mercury star Thursday morning in a prisoner swap, with the U.S. releasing Russian arms dealer Viktor Bout.

From President Joe Bide this morning:
Moments ago I spoke to Brittney Griner. She is safe. She is on a plane. She is on her way home. Griner is a Houston, Texas native and played college ball at Baylor University in Waco.
