Essential Love

By Marva J. Sneed

The essential workers at Charlton Methodist Hospital were shown appreciation and honored for their work on the front lines and even behind-the-scenes at the hospital by a DeSoto ISD Pre-K teacher and artist by trade, Regina Dean. Accompanied by her sister, Levatta Dean Levels, Dean presented a beautiful painting and a floating teacup. The sisters rolled up with a red wagon filled full with beautifully decorated gift bags and presented them to the President of the Fellowship of Professional Women, Dr. Cynthia Mickens-Ross. Dr. Ross, who is also Community Relations Director for Methodist Health System, said she was honored to receive the gifts and would personally give them to the essential workers.
