Mid-Cities (TX) Links, Inc. Donate $35,000 to COVID-19 Relief Efforts

Virtual Fundraiser to Support Scholarships and Community
Programs

Three organizations received $10,000 grants to address the COVID-19 crisis and an additional $5,000 will be provided in rapid response funds to front-line responders in Arlington, Grand Prairie & Irving who are responding to COVID-19 challenges. The Mid-Cities (TX) Chapter of The Links, Inc., addressing escalating community needs due to the coronavirus, is providing $35,000 in grants and donations to address COVID-19 specific issues.

The Chapter is giving 35 for 35 in the form of $35,000 in commemoration of the 35th anniversary of the Mid-Cities (TX) Chapter; which was recognized on April 20, 2020. $10,000 Relief Grants have been awarded to:

• Brighter Tomorrows – Domestic and Sexual Violence Emergency Shelter, Irving and Grand Prairie, TX

• Irving Cares – – Assistance for Irving residents addressing a Financial Crisis

• The Parkland Foundation, Dallas TX

• Additionally, $5,000 committed for COVID-19 front-line responders in Arlington, Grand Prairie and Irving who are responding to COVID-19 challenges The Links, Inc. is an international organization, founded more than 70 years ago, by women of African descent to make a positive impact on their communities.
