Mary Lestine Twiggs Clark was born on June 28, 1941 to the union of the late Connie L. Twiggs and Hallie Daniels in Rockdale, Texas, Milam County.

She received her formal education in the public schools of Branchville, TX.

At an early age, she proposed a hope in Christ at Sweet Home A.M.E. Church in Branchville, TX.

Mary lived most of her life in Branchville, TX. On August 17, 1959, she married the love of her life, Travis Lee Clark, and to this union five children were born. They moved to Dallas, TX. Mary loved spending time with her family.

Mary was a member of New Jerusalem Institutional Baptist Church and moved her membership to Jordan Missionary Baptist Church, Lancaster, TX in 1987. She was an active member and served as a Nurses Guild and Deaconess until her health began to fail her.

She unites in glory with parents and her sisters Viola her twin, Hattie Jones, Helen Rhem and Connie Murphy.

She leaves to cherish her loving husband of 63 years, Travis L. Clark; son, Victor of Dallas; daughters, Clarrissa Chambers of Cedar Hill, TX, Cynthia (Doug) Beard of Lancaster, TX, Belinda (Roy) Patt of Dallas, TX, Candice (Craig) Jones I of Red Oak, TX; thirteen grandchildren, Reginald (Kelley) Chambers, Christopher Chambers, Paris Chambers, Travis (Amber) Beard Sr., Preslee Beard, Brittany Jones, Datorrean Dawson, Craig (Paige) Jones II, Cymeria Jones, Camrynne Jones; eleven great grandchildren, Keilan, Zya, Brayden, MiKayla, Travis Jr., Maverick, Brooklynn, Royalty, Noah, Emerson, Karson and Baby Jones; special daughters, Tamara Leak, Brandi Broughton, Kendra Perkins; special son, Eric Antoine; special sister friend, Brenda Daniels; special friends, Billie Reed, The Foster Family, Willa Dean Banks and Dorothy Heard; her loving caregivers, Mrs. Regina Wilson and Mrs. Sharon Brooks; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
