Dallas Police found that no shots were fired at the State Fair of Texas on Friday night after receiving information about a shooting at Fair Park.

Dallas police said officers responded about 8:50 p.m. after receiving information about a shooting at Fair Park.

But it was found that no shots were fired and there are no reports of any gunshot injuries, according to preliminary information provided by police. Police did not say what may have led to the commotion.

Video posted on social media Friday night shows a crowd of fairgoers running and others appearing to hide.

Karissa Condoianis, a State Fair of Texas spokeswoman, confirmed that there were no reports from the police about shots fired.

“It appears fairgoers are trying to create chaos by running through the fairgrounds,” she said in an email.
