PORT-AU-PRINCE — The National Police of Haiti (PNH) union welcomed the approval of heavy-armored personnel carriers for officers to use in ongoing offensives against armed gangs terrorizing the country.

News of the approval was made public Aug. 10 by the Canadian government, but details about when the shipment will arrive were not provided.
