Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson Announces Small Business Disaster Loan Program for Texas (press release)

Dallas, TX – Today [March 20], Congresswoman Johnson announced that the Small Business Administration (SBA) has included Texas in its Economic Injury Disaster Loan Program (EIDL), which will provide long-term, low-interest loans to qualifying businesses across the state.

“Immediate financial support to small businesses who employ people in our community is critical to the financial health and recovery of our city, state and nation,” says Congresswoman Johnson. “This EIDL assistance may be used to pay fixed debts, payroll, accounts payable and other financial obligations that could have been paid prior to the novel coronavirus outbreak.”

Texas small businesses who believe they may be eligible for an SBA EIDL should visit www.sba.gov/disaster where they can directly apply for assistance. The online application is the fastest method to receive a decision about loan eligibility.
