It was celebration time for Hope Clinic of Garland recently at the Granville Center.

For 20 years, since its inception when it was only open one night a week; Hope Clinic of Garland, Inc. has served residents as envisioned by the founders who were affiliated with First Baptist Church of Garland (FBCG): Martha Sanford, R.N., Phd and Jim Witt, FBCG Missions Pastor.

Under the leadership of new executive director Tanya Downing, Hope Clinic is celebrating two decades of providing medical services to the underserved communities of Garland.

Dr. Michael A. Horne, President and CEO of Parkland Foundation, was the speaker at the celebration where many of Garland’s health professionals, first responders and elected officials turned out to support.

At Hope, Dallas County residents are provided service free-of-charge; thanks to grants and support from philanthropists and the business community. In addition to providing Behavioral Health and Telehealth Services, Hope physicians, nurses and volunteer health care professionals ensure that the poor and uninsured are taken care of.
