Texas College Democrats’ Rally, State Convention Bring Together Freedom Fighters

HOUSTON — Elected Democratic officials, candidates, and Democratic supporters from across Texas will join college Democrats for their state convention culminating with A Better Texas: The Fight for Freedom Rally on Saturday, April 2, 2022, at the University of Houston, continuing the fight to preserve basic freedoms the Republican Party is hell-bent on destroying.

Gubernatorial candidate Beto O’Rourke headlines the rally, which begins at 5:30 PM CST in the Houston Room on the University of Houston campus. Confirmed speakers also include U.S. Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, U.S.

Congressman Al Green, Attorney General Candidate Joe Jaworski, Democratic Nominee for Texas Railroad Commissioner Luke Warford, Harris County Attorney Christian Menefee, Texas Democratic Chair Gilberto Hinojosa, and Harris County Democratic Party Chair Odus Evbagharu. Rally attendees must RSVP in advance at https://www.txcollegedems.org/rally.
