DALLAS, TEXAS – February 21, 2019 – Big Tex asked and Texas answered! The State Fair of Texas and Lucchese received more than 250 entries for the Big Tex Boot Design contest and the finalists have been selected. Now it’s up to you to choose which design Big Tex will wear during the 2019 State Fair of Texas – cast your vote now at BigTex.com/DesignMyBoots.
With artists ranging from ages 4 to 75, Fair fans from coast to coast submitted their best illustrations vying for a finalist spot. A panel of judges narrowed the pool of more than 250 unique designs down to just 10 finalists. Now we need your help choosing which design Big Tex will don for 24 days this upcoming fall.
Voting is now open until 10 a.m. CT on Wednesday, March 6, 2019. Each finalist will be scored on the following:
- Creativity of the Design – Do you think this boot design exhibits creativity?
- Representation of Texas Pride – Do you think this boot design celebrates our great Lone Star State and all things Texan?
- Design for Big Tex – Do you think the big guy would be proud to wear this design on his Lucchese boots all 24 days of the 2019 State Fair of Texas?
This contest gave fairgoers the chance to design the biggest, best-known pair of boots in the Lone Star State. The first-place winner receives the opportunity to work with the State Fair of Texas and Lucchese Bootmaker to bring their design to life.
